My apologies for not having this ranking out sooner like we normally do but this weekend in Miami was a tad bit insane. Today, we present to you the T.O.A. Week #9 NHL Power Rankings with any futher ado! Brenden Morrow has been dealt & with the surging Penguins it seems like they are stacking talent to go deep into the post-season. This week there was an collective movement up in the majority of all clubs' power index. Chicago continues to top the rankings but Pittsburgh, like said early, has been creeping up on that stellar power index, knocking Anaheim out the #2 spot. Washington continues it bi-polar tendency, moving down 10 spots last week, then up 10 this week (I'd hate to be a Capitals fan right now with all that uncertainty). The two statistical anomalies (Tampa Bay & Nashville) have started to show their truer forms (Tampa Bay dropping 2 spots & Nashville up 4). One thing is for sure, with playoffs only on average a month away, teams that are shoe-ins are maintaining, while teams who need that extra push are fighting. Let's get into the ranks:
Who's Hot?: Washington (last week "Not") & Dallas (last week "Not")
Who's Not?: Phoenix & Philadelphia
