Tyler Seguin: A Dirty Little Hamster??

Reports yesterday say Boston Bruins very own Tyler Seguin, while playing in the Swiss league during the lockout, apparently doesn't know how to clean up after himself. Everything from rotten bananas, dirty dishes, to even dirty laundry was found all over the floor, according to a Swiss tabloid on Yardbarker.com, at his temporary place in Switzerland. The cleaning associate at his place of residence was the one who was said to divulge all this information to the tabloid.

Seguin fired back on Twitter though trying to save face. Here's what I extracted from that website:

Well, who can blame him? After all this report can be misleading, but then again who knows. I personally think that this is all a case of anger on the part of his former Swiss team. Maybe they're trying to express themselves as to how they feel about him leaving so promptly to the NHL after the lockout was deemed over.

....but then again, we all know how Tyler can be a party animal:

51 yr.-old Goalie Signs with Minnesota Wild

An older story but amazing nonetheless: 51 yr.-old Paul Deutsch (yes, 51!) was signed by the Minnesota Wild on an "amateur try-out contract" to fill in on a goaltender vacancy as an emergency. Check out the video from NHL.com:

A lot of spunk from this guy. What a dream come true!

Dallas Cowboys Twitter Account Vs. Dallas Stars Twitter Account

A childish display of emotions are running wild through two Dallas sports franchises. Why is it important? Because one of the franchises happens to be an NHL pillar. Check out the screenshots below thanks via Google and my ever growing detective skills. This tweet was made after the lockout ended:

The Stars account defended the NHL with this:

The statement was of course a comparisson to the Stars' #9 [Mike Modano] and the Cowboys' #9 [Tony Romo] resume. The link to the Twitter picture was apparently Mike Modano getting "the job done":

Tha Cowboys' account then retracted the statement and issued an apology:

"Accidentally"? Really? Not even a decent apology. It's like saying, "I'm really sorry for what I did, but not really." The Stars' twitter account kept it short and sweet with a simple apology.

Poor Tony Romo caught in the middle of this ridiculous "feud". I'll keep an eye on the two accounts for a little while longer and see if this sparks anymore debate.

Lockout over!

Lets welcome back the reason for so many people's happiness throughout the winter months!

Shanahan laying down the law

The new enforcer for player's safety in the league, Brendan Shanahan, has laid down a 4 game suspension to Buffalo Sabres winger Patrick Kaleta after delivering an intentional headbutt to Philadelphia Flyers winger Jakub Voracek. See for yourself and judge whether or not he deserves it:

He's a repeat offender and for shots like that you need to serve time.
