Strange? Maybe a little. Winger Krys Barch of the Florida Panthers this weekend offered his self-surgically removed tooth to the Washington Capitals' faithful. Check out the video:
The Caps' announcers & fans got a thrill out of seeing Barch's funny side. At least the spirits of Krys Barch aren't as solemn as the rest of his teammates & organization. Panther's now sit second to last above Buffalo in the Atlantic Division.

Ryan Callahan: Nominee For The Smoothest Man on Ice
Browsing Yardbarker's NHL section recently hasn't brought much promise. Digging up interesting hockey stuff seems to be at a premium in this young season. So I reluctantly clicked on this video (that was provided by The Nosebleeds) of Ryan Callahan almost falling on his rear after a really BIG celebration over a very MEDIOCRE goal:

By the way, if I'm not mistaken (which I feel like I am), this is the first .GIF on T.O.A...Yayyyy!! Moving on, it got me thinking: I've got to find better celebration fails than this! They did however at The Nosebleeds create this real funny picture:
Our trusty companion, YouTube, armed with a bunch of key words like, "hockey celebration fails" &, "hockey screw-ups" pumped out a couple cool classic goal celebration mishaps:
Swedish Game in 2009 (Leksand):
Random Amateur Game:
Top 10 With the First One on This List at #1:
Much better huh? Callahan's fail was weak. Get some better material guys! Even though these are old videos, making a comparison as to which fail was better put into perspective how cheap that celebration was. But a sweet pose at the does make it sort-of O.K. I guess.

Vancouver's Green Men Do It Again!
Thanks to Holdout Sports I was able to find this hilarious video. Vancouver's Green Men are back at it again, this time challeneging David Blane & Criss Angel:
Did you see that?? Now that's talent! C'mon Tim Jackman, give them a tip or something!

Bruins Assistant Coach Geoff Ward Off The Hook: Tyler Seguin Involved, AGAIN? (Dirty Little Hamster Pt. 3)
No matter which way we turn it seems Tyler Seguin is involved in everything on the lighter side of hockey these days (but mostly the weird). As if his seemingly smelly apartment with his grammy award-nominated singing dog wasn't enough after his European adventure, now we finally have an answer as to what went down that night when Boston Bruins' assistant coach, Geoff Ward, was accused of littering:
As you can see, around the :33 or :34s mark, a hand moves and throws what seems to be a red piece coming down. The hand motion, once looked at closely, doesn't seem to come from Ward, but someone off camera. The red piece in question can be confirmed by these pictures of other atheletes using the same brand or packaging:
You see...Same packaging right?? Anyways, Tyler takes the blame for something that he stuck up his nose & then threw out. But that's normal you say, playing sports you say, & I agree! But with Tyler's track record of being notoriously unkempt, & the fact that he threw it so hard it went into the stands reather then the team bench leads me to believe that we have confirmation the Tyler Seguin is the NHL's Dirty Little Hamster!

Boston Bruins Coach Throws Earpiece In Fans Drink
So a report from both Deadspin & Yardbarker from last nights game shows a strange one-in-a-million incident occuring. Boston Bruins assistant Geoff Ward seems to have had a malfunction with his earpiece (or got tired of it), & instead of handing it to someone else who would dispatch of it, decides to do it himself:
I think that video of the Bruins fan catching the puck in his cup was better:
A lot of "cup-action" in Boston. Final word of advice, drink your beer up in the breezeway at TD Garden to avoid anything flying into your $12 cup of golden nectar. Speaking of cup-action, maybe that can start trending on Twitter? #Cupaction..

Sexy Ad For AHL's Syracuse Crunch
The Tampa Bay Lightning's AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, is having some fun with their marketing these days. Sportress of Blogitude reports that they are taking there time to skew a sexual reference to a possible escort service.
Here's the original story: http://www.sportressofblogitude.com/2013/03/14/minor-league-hockeys-syracuse-crunch-have-a-pseudo-phone-sex-billboard-ad-photo/

Insane Physics!: Puck Breaks In Two During Swiss League Goal
This story goes to FootBasket.com: In a game between Fribourg-Gottéron and EHC Biel, Cedric Botter apparenlty either scored or tried to block the puck (not quite too sure what team he's on) whilst the puck hit the left goal post & basically shatters in two on impact:
I was going to make a joke something like, "I wonder if they'll score it as two goals?!" But that got erased quickly as I read down the article & found out they took away the goal. Oh well, next time.

Pitchman Anthony Sullivan Delivers Infomercial For Tampa Bay (Sully Hat Trick Pack)
Things are getting a little weird down here in Florida. Anthony Sullivan, pitchman replacement for OxiClean's Billy Mays & many other infomercial products, has united with the Tampa Bay Lightning to pitch a deal like none other, the Sully Hat Trick Pack:
The slumping Lightning need a way to get the crowd back into the game. The blazing start seems to have been wiped clean after being held to 2-8-0 in their last 10 games. I guess it's whatever it takes right now down in the bay area.

Man with Horse Head Celebrating Hemsky's Goal
Weird...
So at about 10 seconds in we see one of the strangest things this young season has to offer. A man dressed with a horses head celebrates Edmonton Oiler's Ales Hemsky's walk around goal on Vancouver's Roberto Luongo. Check it out:
This video came via Puck Daddy & Yardbarker. Very slick goal, but an even slicker job getting that mask in past the security at Rexall, because by the lloks of it they should've told him to put it back in his car!

ESPN = The Worst in Hockey Coverage
So I've been checking out this forum recently called Hf Boards & might I say it is a pretty up to date professional discussion site. I came across this thread though in the NHL talk that states how ESPN screws-up pretty much everything there is to do with hockey, especially their bios on the ESPN website.
Check out this former New Jersey Devil. Apparently he plays for the Cincinnati Reds now:

Or even this one for the Doc:

....& we all love Tim Thomas

Even Sid the Kid!:

These guys have a great time on here & I'm happy to spotlight some of the funnier sides of the sport. Hopefully I can dig up some more relevant photos or videos to compliment these great ones!

Funny Fans of the Game
So I was probing my Facebook account today and came across this video by the "NOC" that was posted by a very good page I follow called "Let's Talk Hockey". The video is really cool! He doesn't quite capture every fan perfectly but the ones he did are too much! Have a look:
"It's pronounced CANADI-AAAAHHHNNNZZZZ!"
Priceless!
